Alternatives to 12-step rehab programs have been on the rise in recent years and many addiction treatment centers around the USA and the world have been introducing new methods to tackle old alcohol and drug addiction issues. Holistic, Religious and non- disease models of addiction treatment have been the most popular methods, but “Spiritual Wellness” is the only cure for anyone who do not want to be labeled or feel powerless and hopeless in overcoming their addictive behaviors.
A leader and pioneer in providing groundbreaking cures, Center for Education and Healing (CE&H), has announced the inclusion of a new workshop to its already extensive roster of programs. They call it Spiritual Wellness for Millennials, a spiritual method that has already been introduced to the clients attending the Addiction Workshop. Since 2009, CE&H has been a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment program, and has established itself, amidst much controversy, as the only program that cures the symptom of addiction thus permitting continued drinking after a short detox phase (for those with self-discipline and a strong will; others can attend the workshop with the same results after a period of in-patient rehab), and a philosophy that not only does not teach the disease model, but offers proof by way of those who recovered, that all addictions are symptom of a deeper underlying issue with spiritual bankruptcy. They offer the only true solutions for the development of the whole person than any other rehab center in the world.
Teri Pickens, who suffered from depression, mood swings and addictions, modeled CE&Hs workshops after a supernatural epiphany she had that gave her a Blueprint for a path to sanity. This blueprint is the foundation of all CE&Hs programs and workshops.
At CE&H, our workshops, individual coaching and our dedicated staff and members are representations of a new spiritual movement led by our new program Spiritual Wellness for Millennials. We are the only program in the world to offer a cure for the symptom of addiction in general and alcohol addiction in particular; not by giving a life sentence in sobriety, but by answering the why a person becomes an addict and providing them with tools so that a person may choose to continue drinking moderately and socially, says Pickens.
We hope that the experience will give Millennial clients a first hand opportunity to witness the exuberant and healing effects of active faith. Another goal of our Spiritual Wellness for Millennials experience is to demonstrate spiritual wellness to 18-29 year olds who, according to Pew polls, are more likely to identify as being atheists or agnostic. In spite of this, Millennials attitudes are more positive then GenXers or boomers’, They are open to the attainment of joy, enduring happiness and inner peace when not tormented by addictions.
Lindsay Lohan’s Failed Intervention earlier this week staged by her father and management team is indicative that the season has passed for her father’s over-controlling behaviors which robs her of her free-will”. What may have gone wrong? According to Huffington Post, despite the team’s planning, Lindsay was not willing to listen. “Lindsay, like other Millennials, has no trust in her former establishment and needs a new way, a spiritual rebirth, through her pain and the freedom to continue drinking after her cure, if she so desires. CE&H is the only place in the world where she has this option, says Pickens.
People can be addicted to many different substances, from alcohol and illegal drugs to prescription medicines, as well as to different types of behavior. We help individuals heal that deeper underlying issue by naming it; we teach a positive mental attitude, we help people achieve the capacity for faith, we show how to achieve sound physical and mental health, maintain harmony in all their relationships, cultivate self-discipline and keep an open-mind on all subjects to counteract the underlying symptoms of unbelief and spiritual bankruptcy.
With this smorgasbord of values based on spiritual wellness, a person can finally let go of all addictions without replacing one with other excesses like smoking, caffeine, sex, religion, work, shopping, eating, volunteering, mood instabilitythings people normally turn to after release from rehabs not realizing these are also addictions, thus they subject themselves to a life-sentence rather than getting the cure, says Pickens.
