Yes kids need bandages often to help their boo-boo feel better, but what if that bandage could do more than cover a cut or scrape? Thanks to a new program by Ouchies Bandages, kids 18 and younger will be able to help design bandages that will help other kids by giving 100% of profits to pediatric cancer.
Heres how it works: Its all part of a line of Ouchies Bandages called Ouchies For Others which gives 100% of profits to varied organizations, the first one announced earlier this year to help combat anti-bullying. The new line of bandages is a product that is built on the concept that kids design their own Ouchies bandage and tell their own story about the fight against pediatric cancer, or anything else uplifting! All entries will be displayed on Ouchies Facebook page, where fans will select 10 finalists by liking the bandage designs. From the 10 finalists, 5 winners will be chosen, and their designs will be used on the new “Ouchies for Others” bandages and tin, which will be released in February 2013.
Whats really special about the Ouchies Bandage Art Contest is that everyone wins in the fight against Pediatric Cancer. Ian Madover, President of Ouchies, explains, This line of bandages is all about inspiring kids to help other kids and what better of a way than to let kids design the bandages themselves? What makes it all even better is that 100% of the profits from the sale of these bandages will benefit the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, and the American Childhood Cancer Organization
