San Diego, California (PRWEB) September 30, 2012
It’s not everyday that one can “like’ something and make such a difference, but that’s just what is happening in San Diego, CA this fall. Sweet Relief Musicians Fund is the beneficiary to just such an action after being approached by a San Diego based business looking to help musicians in need. In just the past few months thousands of music fans flocked to Lost Ark Studio’s Facebook page to take part in raising funds to assist ill and disabled musicians in need.
John Paul Cavanaugh of Lost Ark Studios commented, When we first contacted Sweet Relief, we just wanted to help but we werent sure how a new studio like ours could contribute. But the Facebook Fan Challenge we set up with Rob Max, Executive Director at Sweet Relief has been even more successful than we could have imagined. Thousands of people on Facebook responded, weve raised thousands of dollars for Sweet Relief, and we look forward to raising even more through the compilation project and more. Its the least we can do for those who have done so much to enrich our lives by sharing their music with us.
As of this articles publishing date the Lost Ark Studio Facebook Page’s “like” count was at 4932. Music fans wishing to participate can visit the page here
“We are extremely grateful to music fans like Mr. Cavanaugh”, said Max. he added, “Whilst we are always excited for significant donations, when it comes with such great awareness raising and action plans, the benefits increase exponentially.”
Plans are currently underway to establish a San Diego Musicians Fund @SweetRelief as a result of the Lost Ark Studio contribution. Anyone interested in furthering this initiative should call 949-715-4606 or email info(at)sweetrelief(dot)org.
